Casa Ruben Inc. was founded to honor the vision of Dr. Ruben Peralta Sr. who was a brilliant professional. As a student, he has bestowed the honor of giving the university graduation speech because he was a great student. While living in the Dominican Republic his vision clashed with the Trujillo dictatorship and his family suffered unjustifiable political persecution and lack of freedom. After that period, he furthered his training at Johns Hopkins University and JPHIEGO to improve health and train new generations of medical students in his own country including his own children, Ligia and Ruben.
